Eminem was rushed to a hospital over the holidays to receive treatment for a serious heart condition and severe pneumonia, according to TMZ.

Apparently, the Without Me hitmaker has stepped away from the limelight because his weight had ballooned to over 200lbs.

The rapper’s publicist released this statement: “Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor’s care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home.”

According to LAPD spokesman Officer Jason Lee, officers got a call at 8 p.m. and, as of 10 p.m., were still there.Lee couldn’t say who called the cops, but he said the call was in reference to as “family custodial dispute that we are trying to resolve…peacefully by court order,” Lee said.
