On Friday, former rock n’ roll producer Phil Spector was sentenced to 19 years to life for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson — bringing a six year legal fight to a close.
According to The Associated Press, a Los Angeles judge ordered a 15-year term for the second-degree murder of Clarkson, who was shot in the mouth at Spector’s home in 2003. The judge also slammed Spector, 69, with an additional four years for personal use of a gun.
Spector’s first trial in the Clarkson Murder ended with a hung jury.
He was also ordered to pay funeral expenses totaling $16,811, and a state victim’s restitution fund ($9,740).
